Connors's Heroes
Connor's Heroes is dedicated to helping families in Central Virginia cope with childhood cancer, while empowering our community's researchers to conquer it. Their mission is to build a community of heroes who provide hope, guidance, and support.
This project spanned over a year of volunteer work as an art teacher for Studio Days—sessions designed to give children with cancer the freedom to create and the space to simply feel like a kid. The artwork produced in those sessions was later auctioned at the Connor's Heroes Art Ball, the organization's largest annual fundraising event, with all proceeds benefiting the mission. By 2022, a single Art Ball evening had raised over $500,000 for Central Virginia families fighting childhood cancer.
